Praxis Forum provides nationwide Alternative Dispute Prevention and Resolution services, with a special dedication to underserved populations. For these communities, our Neutral Third-Party Advisory Service focuses primarily on Health Equity and Social Justice.
The Health Equity and Social Justice portfolios are intended to ensure that every person has a fair opportunity to achieve their best health and quality-of-life targets, regardless of race, gender, physical or psychological condition, or socioeconomic status, by addressing the social determinants of health and removing structural barriers to self-determination.
Time-honoured Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods are proven, out-of-court techniques used to prevent and resolve disputes and avoid litigation. These include negotiation and mediation, or techniques such as facilitation that borrow from the former. Arbitration, on the other hand, is a quasi-judicial dispute resolution method that provides disputing parties with a final and binding determination, in the form of an award, similar to a court judgment.
All of these methods, whether alternative or quasi-judicial in nature, are known to save money, protect privacy by way of a signed confidentiality or non-disclosure agreement, and resolve disagreements faster than traditional litigation.
