Education and Research Into Innovative Public Health Practice and Dispute Prevention and Resolution

The ARMB focuses primarily on the Health Equity and Social Justice portfolios. The Health Equity and Social Justice portfolios are intended to make certain that every person has a fair opportunity to achieve their best health and quality of life targets, regardless of race, gender, physical or psychological condition or socio-economic status, by addressing the social determinants of health and removing structural barriers to self-determination.

We may provide assistance to communities in :

  • Leading organization-wide strategic and operational planning sessions;
  • Developing the capabilities and tools to control variances and meet management and accountability requirements;
  • Preparing legislative proposals, bills or resolutions;
  • Making or amending regulations or standards;
  • Developing or amending policies or programs;
  • Solicitating grants, subsidies, contributions, or other financial benefits for the purpose of improving health equity or access to justice;
  • Initiating or responding to bids and tenders that may secure economic development opportunities for rural or isolated communities;
  • Arranging meetings with public office holders to present specific views on legislation or policy.
