The resilience and survival of an organization and its community, depends on the agility of its strategic planning model and the training of its human resources to provide for the continued availability of services that are critical to the health, wellbeing, safety and security of all community members.
Purpose:
The Business Continuity Planning Sessionaims to support your executive teams in facilitating an internal business continuity planning process.
This 2 day session will enable you to establish a governance structure for business continuity planning in your organization; conduct a business impact analysis for each program or service under your authority; develop business continuity plans and arrangements for critical services; review, test and update your business continuity plans, communicate critical information and decisions, regarding business continuity operations—directly, effectively and without delay.
Objectives:
Participants of the will develop a written plan document that includes:
A business impact analysis (BIA) to identify critical services, assets, and dependencies;
Response, recovery and mitigation measures to deal with the impacts of disruptions;
Planning and response teams, including key contact and notification lists;
Roles, responsibilities and tasks of coordinators and team members;
Community-owned partnerships for the alternate delivery and recovery of critical services ;
Procedures for testing, updating and maintaining the BCP;
Communication plan to share critical information and decisions.
This session is supplemented by technical documentation, examples and recommendations.
