Substance, Scope and Outreach

Praxis Forum is a Dispute Prevention and Resolution Clinic like no other. We are dedicated to promoting better access to alternative and integrative justice for all Canadians. We do this by providing all our distinguished participants with a safe, unbiased and confidential forum in which to seek out truths, root-out errors, eliminate inconsistencies and reconcile misunderstandings. We make special provisions intended to meet the needs of underserved communities and members of the population at greater risk of being the next victims of injustice and oppression.

What is Alternative and Integrative Justice

Philosophy: Alternative and Integrative Justice focuses on equality and balance, prevention and addressing the root causes of conflicts and disputes, rather than just treating legal emergencies and critical cases.

Modalities: Alternative and Integrative Justice incorporates evidence-based complementary methods such as coaching, facilitation, mediation and arbitration, neutral assessment and recommendations.

Goals: Alternative and Integrative Justice aims to empower individuals and communities to enhance their dispute prevention and resolution skills, and to achieve sustainable justice through reconciliation.
